NCVOA History

Founded in 1925, the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) is comprised of the 64 Incorporated Villages in Nassau County with nearly 435,000 residents. Our organization proudly serves as an advocate for municipal governments and residents on local, state and national levels.

As you will read throughout this web site, a Village truly is the "government closest to the people." No other form of government can provide such an efficient, high level of service. Our mayors and trustees are your friends and neighbors and are accessible at all hours of the day and night. They care about the communities in which they live and are dedicated to making them as desirable as possible.

We invite you to explore other sections of our web site to learn more about the NCVOA and some of the many advantages of selecting a Village as the place to raise your family.
